Come along and meet us

We shall be attending the two local history events as detailed below so why not come along and meet us at either event (or both!) as we usually have a selection of our transportable memorials with us on display for you to view.

LAHS History Fair

10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday 15th April 2018, at Beamanor Hall, Leicestershire

On April 15th, 2018, the Leicestershire Archaeological and Historical Society will be staging a day-long History Fair at Beaumanor Hall in Woodhouse, Leicestershire, where local groups can showcase their research. The theme of the day will be the First World War (its final year and aftermath) although a number of "non-theme" groups are expected to be there as well..

In addition to the many local history stalls there will be a series of talks by guest speakers. Half of these talks will relate to the day’s First World War theme, with the rest covering a variety of topics on the county’s history and archaeology. Among other events, an Archaeology Roadshow will also be running throughout the day, and a dramatisation is currently being prepared which will recreate the Court-Martial of a Private in the Leicestershire Regiment.
